The Senior Manager, Production Planning is responsible for leading and performing production supply strategy, reporting, planning and analysis related activities for Harry & David's Production and Assembly operations. This position leads in optimizing available labor, storage space, materials, freight, distribution and other resources across the network of operational locations including any co-packers to minimize cost and maximize the customer's experience.Major responsibilities of the position are listed below. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.* Cooperate and collaborate with Demand Planners to create, plan, communicate and execute a master manufacturing schedule.* This plan will assure timely availability of raw materials, sub-assemblies and finished gifts to different manufacturing locations, warehouse, work centers and distribution facilities to ultimately support the merchandising plan.* Work cooperatively with Demand Planners, Production Planners, Purchasing, Distribution, Warehousing and Production departments.* Work with Operations leadership to define goals by manufacturing site and assure that the Master Production plan meets these requirements* React to demand changes and work with departmental planners and managers to assure timely completion* Provide budgeting and forecasting of spend by site.* Analyze, compare and report results and key performance indicators against plan and other internal benchmarks.* Oversee Production Planning team* Manage complex integrated spreadsheets validating for accuracy/integrity.* Identify exceptions for collaboration and agreement to demand forecast by internal and external stakeholders.* Partnership with Merchandising/Distribution/Finance/Call Center, supplying key data points that are critical to the rest of the Org.* Ad-Hoc Analysis as assigned.* Bachelor's Degree in Mathematics, General Business or Economics preferred* 3-5 years' experience in financial analysis with significant exposure to planning & analysis and management reporting.* Strong analytical and mathematical skills.* Experience using SAP or other MRP platforms preferred* Advanced skills in Excel features, queries and statistical tools required.* Excellent communication skills and strong interpersonal skills that provide ability to interact with the most senior levels of the organization.* Exceptional project management skills.* Strong quantitative, analytical, and reporting skills* Exceptional attention to detail.* Self-motivated and deadline driven.INDCHEqual Opportunity Employer Minorities/Women/Protected Veterans/Disabled
