The successful candidate will work under the direction of senior staff leadership and interact with key clients and AECOM project managers to expand AECOM's new and present services in South Florida. Your location is flexible with current telecommute work from home options and office location options at the AECOM Ft. Lauderdale or Coral Gables offices. This is an exceptional opportunity to be a key contributor to clients' planning, design, and construction transportation projects.The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:* Assist with client transportation planning and engineering projects* Develop project scope and schedules* Develop roadway plans* Plan reviews* Data collection and analysis* Document preparation* Document reviews* Serve as a client extension of staff at client's request* Participate in regular planning meetings with other consulting firms* Ensure compliance with all company and project-specific Quality Management System procedures* Participate in business development activities, including but not limited to managing preparations of letters of interest, qualifications statements, proposals, and interview materialsMinimum Requirements* BS/BA in Engineering or Transportation Planning or related field* 4 plus years of related experience in transportation planning and roadway design* Experience and proficient with MicroStation tools applied to roadway design* Experience with transportation and traffic planning and document reviews* Experienced in managing the schedule, budget, and technical quality of large project task orders or components of larger planning programs* Experience with Microsoft Project or other similar project management and scheduling softwarePreferred Qualifications* Experience and proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Word* Experience with the FDOT LRE process* Experience with FDOT guidelines and procedures* Experience with FDOT and local government document preparation, roadway design, and plan reviews* Project management skills, including, quality management, process control, and document control* Excellent presentation skills and verbal and written communication skills* Excellent organizational skills, including the ability to complete varied work tasks on schedule* Ability to work efficiently and accurately; including the ability to catch inconsistency items in document plans* Ability to exercise confidentiality and discretion* Familiarity with government work and processes* Advanced proficiency with Adobe PDF Pro* Demonstrate good client management communication skillsWhat We OfferWhen you join AECOM, you become part of a company that is pioneering the future.
