You will join a team of digital, analog and mixed signal CMOS designers and DV engineers implementing state of the art RF transceiver chips. As a member of a small, focused team, you will have opportunities to be involved with all aspects of the chip design process. Tasks would include RTL coding of: digital blocks, analog block behavioral models, test benches, monitors, and transactors. Other digital design tasks might include synthesis, place & route, and timing closure. Additional DV tasks might include: creation of test plans; planning, creating, running, and debugging constrained random and/or directed test cases; tracking progress of the verification effort using functional coverage, assertions and other metrics. Close interaction with fellow digital and analog circuit engineers is expected.Responsibilities* Starting from block requirements and specifications, design RTL for hardware blocks.* Perform design verification, from the block level up through the system level.* Constrain and synthesize the RTL, hand off to physical design.There will also be optional opportunities to be involved with other aspects of the chip design process.Requirements* 0-3 Years Experience* Currently pursuing BS/MS in Computer Engineering or Electrical EngineeringHave strong interest and knowledge in:* Programming skills in C/C++/Java/Perl/Python/assembly languages* Design of computation structures* Communications and Interface technologies* CMOS designDesired knowledge in:* Tools such as: HSPICE, Synopsys DCT/ICC, Cadence or Mentor Graphics design, layout, and verification tools, etc.* A high level verification language (SystemVerilog, SystemC, Vera, etc.), random test generation, coverage analysis, and assertions* Digital signal processing/signals and systems* Intelligence, enthusiasm, and a solid work ethic are valued more than any particular skill.For positions requiring access to technical data, Analog Devices, Inc. may have to obtain export licensing approval from the U.S. Department of Commerce - Bureau of Industry and Security and/or the U.S. Department of State - Directorate of Defense Trade Controls.
