As a Senior UX Designer at Ancestry, you'll work closely with customers, product managers, and software engineers to define, design, prototype, update and create new products that can make the task of discovering family history easier and more enjoyable. You have experience in all areas of product design including user research, task analysis, visual design, and interactive prototyping. You are empathetic to our customers' needs. You are a great listener and strive to understand customer challenges. You know how to validate your designs to ensure that they are usable, meet accessibility standards, and solve real problems. You collaborate well with others. You work well with other designers, product managers, front-end-developers and engineers on agile teams. You adapt quickly to change and are open to feedback, critique in order to continuously grow and improve. You are excited about owning the design and user experience for one of Ancestry's key features. You know how to make smart decisions that will make a positive impact on the business and make the experience better for our customers. BONUS: You have experience designing for social platforms, messaging systems, or in creating collaborative member experiences. (Not required, but definitely a plus!) Who you are... * You have a minimum of 6+ years of experience in UX product design and a bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent work experience. * You have a design portfolio with case studies of real projects you've worked on and can articulate the value that your work contributed to the business and customer experience. * You have a track record working with cross-functional teams such as product, engineering, and marketing teams. * Working for Ancestry - Please note that you must provide a link to your portfolio or case studies with your application.
