To find out more, visit About the organization: As the business grows and the regulatory environment evolves, Apollo wants to leverage technology and analytics to augment the control environment, drive efficiencies, and build a scalable Treasury management platform to support business growth in a sustainable manner through its Finance Shared Services organization. Finance Shared Services is part of Apollo's Chief Accounting Officer's division and includes several key global functions including processing and reporting for travel and entertainment (T&E) expenses, accounts payable, accounts receivable, treasury operations, vendor engagement and management, travel services, research services, non-compensation expense allocations, reporting and analytics. The Treasury Operations team member will report to the Treasury Operations Manager in Finance Shared Services to support day- to-day activities of the Treasury function, in addition to its ongoing transformation agenda. The incumbent will work closely with all other Finance Shared Services functions as well as with key internal stakeholders including Finance and Controllership professionals, Fund Operations, Human Capital, Legal, Tax & Compliance, and Technology on process and policy matters, as well as relationships with external banking counterparties (JP Morgan, Bank of America, Goldman Sachs, Barclays, Bank of New York, among others). The successful candidate will have to demonstrate an understanding of bank account functionalities for Custody/Prime Broker/Escrow/DDAs and have prior experience with completing bank account opening packages for custodians and commercial banks. The candidate will also be required to assist in the timely execution of cash management activities such as Wire/ACH/Check processing through bank portals and have familiarity with SWIFT MT formatting. The role will require a proactive problem solver who is willing to follow up daily with internal and external parties to ensure timely completion of deliverables. Clear, firm and polite communication and relationship building skills are key for success in this role. Primary Responsibilities The entry and review of wires to: * Agents and Legal firms for the closing of highly visible and sensitive Private Equity/Credit acquisitions. * Bank counterparties for margin/collateral settlements of Credit derivative securities. * Investors and Employees for fund distributions and realized carry, respectively. * Vendors and internal funds for Accounts Payable expenses and Corporate capital call investments through PeopleSoft's Dispatch module. Prepare bank account opening documentation, manage weekly status trackers, and proactively communicate with banking partners to allocate resources for priority accounts. * Facilitate the opening of Custody, DDA and escrow accounts. * Liaise with internal finance teams and external banking partners for any KYC related questions. Central coordinator for internal/bank inquiries into wire related issues for our 15+ banking relationships. * Account funding's related to margin/overdraft. * Research returned wires and unapplied cash. * Provide wire confirmations through Fed References and SWIFT messages. Take initiatives to lead strategic projects and tasks, including streamlining/automating processes with stronger controls. Qualifications & Experience Prior experience with account related documentation (KYC, formation, legal, tax) is required Ability to operate in a highly visible role with increasing volumes of work under tight intra-day deadlines. Strong project management and planning capabilities, able to support a transformation agenda of the operations function. Highly organized, proactive and efficient in managing and following up on multiple priorities simultaneously. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to partner with others and work collaboratively and professionally in the organization to ensure roles and responsibilities are clear and metrics are in place across the control structure. Strong analytical skills, able to quickly grasp the Treasury function across fund and firm activities and recommend tactical initiatives for ongoing improvement of the role and its operational effectiveness. Bachelor's degree required. 3-5 years of prior banking experience required.
