TEMP - Senior Hiring & Training Leader: Las Vegas, NV / Utah BrandBest Buy What does a Best Buy Senior Hiring and Training Lead do? The Senior Hiring and Training Lead (Senior HTL) is an entry-level talent acquisition position responsible for managing the recruitment, selection, and onboarding process for new employees in two or more Best Buy retail locations. The Senior HTL will be responsible for all non-exempt level roles within a specified geography. In partnership with Store Leadership, this person will ensure a positive applicant and employee experience that yields higher employee retention. As the Senior Hiring and Training Lead, you will: * Identify a diverse talent bench for an assigned area inclusive of Internet mining, in-person advertising, networking, referrals, professional organizations, campus/university recruiting, social media, resume databases, competitor cold calling, and Boolean searches. * Coordinate in-store job fairs and other attraction events such as talent days, open house events, meet and greets, and interview days. * Develop and maintain effective partnerships with Market Leaders, Retail Talent Acquisition, and other significant internal business partners. * Manage the status of openings, leads, applicants, and candidates via the Applicant Tracking System. * Ensure internal hiring process follows and complies with Best Buy posting policies as well as state/federal hiring practice guidelines. * Conduct phone interviews to identify quality candidates to present to hiring managers for in-person interviews. * Follow up on pre-employment requirements such as drug screens and criminal background checks. * Schedule, coordinate, and co-facilitate New Employee Induction. * Schedule new employees for required trainings and track training progress. * Prepare and maintain interview paperwork to state/federal laws as well as Best Buy Renew Blue standards. * Compile reporting for new hire and diversity statistics as requested. What are the Professional Requirements of a Best Buy Senior Hiring and Training Lead? Basic Qualifications: * Intermediate skills in decision making * 6 months experience in training, sales, or customer service * 6 months experience in administrative related experience Preferred Qualifications: * Associate's degree in business management or other related field * 1 year of HR, Recruiting, or Talent Acquisition experience
