CHS is looking for a Field Research Intern to join the team from May 1st, 2022- August 15h, 2022. This individual will gain experience across many aspects of CHS focusing on research with product development and sales teams, which will facilitate understanding of how to form a partnership between replicated research and growers, dealers, account managers, and technical specialists. This position will also enable the intern to develop solid agronomy product knowledge regarding seed treatments, adjuvants, micronutrients, and bio-stimulants. In addition, this will allow the intern to gain experience in this career path and become more confident in choosing their career path.
The intern will setup and manage a small research trial on some plot ground, such as adjuvant efficacy, seed treatment, bio-stimulant or nutritional, etc., then present the findings in a presentation at a company/group meeting. This would give the intern experience in small plot research and would give the company further research data.
Other responsibilities include:
* Follow up and collect data at replicated research locations
* Work with local agronomists to track and quantify SxS data
* Establish SxS's with account managers and technical specialists to drive use of selected CHS products in different geographies
* Collect plant tissue and soil samples from trials
* Conduct adjuvant efficacy trials for adjuvant recommendations
* Work with account managers to develop SxS trials and grower level use of CHS products

* Expand use CHS products and develop sales tools through pictures, plant tissue sample, soil samples, crop imagery, and leaf area index
Minimum Qualifications (required)
* Enrolled in relevant coursework in 2 or 4 year higher education institution.
* High school diploma or GED.
* Interest in agriculutural business.
