POSITION OVERVIEW The Territory Manager (TM) is responsible for ensuring the success of the Company's marketing and business development strategy in an assigned territory or region while directly managing the field operations staff of Service Route Manager(s), SRM(s). The TM's responsibilities include: enhancing existing client relationships; assisting customer base to meet/exceed KPIs; supervising and developing subordinates; developing policies or practices to improve program efficiencies; contributing to operational and marketing strategies; and reporting results to division management. This position is subject to general supervision and requires the regular use of independent judgement and discretion. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: * Responsible for hiring, training, performance management, direction, and supervision of direct report, Service Route Managers, Service Route Trainers * Responsible for meeting sales budget * Review and assess battery business to measure and address productivity or goal achievement * Identify and resolve specific issues related to inventory management practices, sales performance, warranty administration, driver training and/or performance management * Create and implement policies and procedures for sales route activities and operations management activities specific to assigned territory or region * Monitor and direct day-to-day management and associate activities to ensure that they are in alignment with the location safety strategy * Develop and implement best practices in inventory management and program management at client sites in assigned territory or region * Engage regularly with customer management teams, wholesale sales, and corporate staff to identify cost efficiencies and business development opportunities * Execution of VCA Solutions Battery Program operational business plans and initiatives * Identify market trends and develop innovative ideas to increase sales * Manage and facilitate all facets of supply management activities between business units working with external battery vendor(s) and associated warehouse staff * Perform other duties as required. ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS: * Undergraduate degree in Business Administration or related discipline. * At least 5 years of related management experience, preferably in the automotive industry. * Knowledge of principles and processes for providing client support, including client needs assessment, meeting quality standards for services, and evaluation of client satisfaction. * Proven ability to positively affect customer satisfaction levels Health & Safety Responsibilities: As an employee of VCA Solutions you are expected to assist in providing a safe and healthy work environment by: * Actively participating in induction and other necessary ongoing/refresher Health and Safety training. * Promptly reporting all hazards and hazardous incidents to management and contributing to hazard control, as required.
