General Manager - Sling Business Development

We foster opportunity both for our customers and the employees who serve them. We're growing our Business Development team by adding a Head of Business Development. This person will also have the primary responsibility of building and leading a team that enhances the value of our distribution partnerships by driving new and existing distribution deals and new partnership opportunities. This role and team will require strong connectivity between all internal teams, focusing collective efforts on key activities including distribution renewals, new business and key partner integrations (e.g. Amazon, Roku, Google, Apple, etc.) Day-to-day job responsibilities: Create and oversee a deal pipeline Identify and evaluate opportunities around new businesses and extensions of existing businesses with a focus on growth and engagement Work closely with cross-functional teams throughout the lifecycle of key partnerships and push objectives across the organization Create and deliver reports, overviews and presentations Communicate status of deals continuously Build, mentor and maintain a high performing deal team High-level qualifications: The General Manager of Business Develop will have exceptional business development skills with a solid understanding of the technical requirements needed to operate an OTT software application The General Manager will possess the ability to cultivate and build strong relationships with new and existing partners and industry counterparts. The General Manager will have solid cross-functional leadership skills with the ability to build consensus among teams (executive leadership, product, engineering, marketing, finance). The General Manager will have strong presentation, communication and interpersonal skills. Specific qualifications: Bachelor's degree in business or related field. MBA or JD preferred 10+ years of business development and contract negotiation experience A minimum of 5 years' experience in negotiating OTT deals and/or content acquisition deals A solid understanding of the OTT industry and television market Willingness to travel when needed #LI-CB1 Compensation: $150,000.00/Yr. - $190,000.00/Yr.
