POSITION SUMMARY: This position is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day business operations including budget, contracts, charge master, analysis for program development, reimbursement changes, and informatics support of the current electronic documentation program for the perioperative areas. This role will provide cross coverage for both ECHN and Waterbury Hospital and participates in preparing and evaluating current financial and inventory practices, charge audits, and statistical analysis of procedure costs and OR utilization. # EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION: Bachelor#s degree in one of the health professions, business administration, public administration, or other suitable field. Master#s degree preferred. Perioperative services experience preferred. # # EXPERIENCE: Five (5) to seven (7) years of experience in process improvement, analytics, finance, and business operations. Outstanding communication, presentation, data visualization, facilitation. Advanced working knowledge of Excel, VBA, and or supply management software/programs. Familiarity with Health Care Purchasing and inventory standards/procedures preferred. # COMPETENCIES: High-level analytical/problem-solving skills. Ability to successfully lead process change. Ability to communicate and interact effectively with clinical and non-clinical areas. Excellent customer service/relationship skills. Skills in successful communication, conflict resolution, delegation, operations, project management, facilities planning, and collaboration across complex healthcare settings. # Ability to compile data from various sources and to analyze and interpret the data in order to provide alternatives and make recommendations. Intermediate ability to use Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
