We welcome candidates who can contribute to the diversity and excellence of our academic community.DescriptionThe clinical investigators in Medical Oncology will be actively involved in clinical research and teaching (20%), and patient care (80%) in solid tumor malignancies. They will be available approximately five half-day clinic sessions per week and approximately eight to ten weeks attending inpatients per year. The amount of time devoted, and the location and timing of patient services, will be subject to reasonable change.Oncologists collaborate with colleagues in a multi-disciplinary environment. They will enroll patients to clinical trials and publish the findings of their research, contributing articles/original manuscripts in upper-tier, peer-reviewed journals and presenting at relevant (inter)national meetings of groups such as ASCO and AACR. As educators they will give lectures and serve as preceptors for medical house staff and Hem/Onc fellows. They will report directly to the Director of the Division of Medical Oncology.Qualified applicants must be Board Certified or Board eligible in Hematology/Oncology and eligible for licensure in Georgia.
