Additionally, the role is responsible for providing applications support and process automation (scripting), responding quickly to service interruptions and service requests to maintain operations efficiency. Key components of this role are: * To execute Regular IS Basic Tasks * To provide user support and troubleshooting * Branch technical support: * Assist IS Specialist in daily tickets que related to hardware tasks. * Help resolve common incidents and problems efficiently * Leverage and fully optimize existing systems and tools * Create a community that promotes the sharing of best ideas and practices and be a catalyst in promoting global consistency * Offer suggestions and comments to Regional IS Manager/Geo IS for systems improvements * Assist with the implementation of global, regional and branch IS projects * Assist with occasional analyzing of data * To ensure adherence to the Company's policies and procedures * To display and communicate the Company's culture * To maintain regular communication with Regional IS Manager and District Manager Knowledge: * Global Logistics industry knowledge including latest technologies and industry trends * General understanding of Expeditors operations, logistics, and business * Have a fundamental understanding of Expeditors operational systems, including ETMS and EDMS * Basic understanding of Windows Server (e.g., Active Directory, Remote Administration), Unix Systems, and EDI protocols * Microsoft Scripting knowledge (e.g., PowerShell, Command Line Scripting) * PC troubleshooting, maintenance and deployment knowledge * Mobile device troubleshooting (iOS/Android) * Networking fundamentals (LAN/WAN) Skills: * Strong PC software skills including Windows and related software applications (Word, Excel, Visio, PowerPoint, SharePoint etc.) * Effective problem solving skill * Effective communication (written and verbal) and customer service skills Education and Experience: * College degree/technical degree or equivalent experience * Preferred experience in the logistics industry Expeditors offers excellent benefits * Paid Vacation, Holiday, Sick Time * Health Plan: Medical, Prescription Drug, Dental and Vision * Life and Long Term Disability Insurance * 401(k) Retirement Savings Plan (US only) * Employee Stock Purchase Plan * Training and Personnel Development Program All your information will be kept confidential according to EEO guidelines.
