POSITION SUMMARY: The Transportation Analyst, store delivery is responsible for managing transportation management business processes (i.e. procurement, Freight Bill Audit & Payment, resolving daily operation problems and Shipment Planning & Execution) to ensure we provide the best solution and meet customer requirements for the store delivery channel. This position will handle analysis and tasks driving continuous cost and service improvement by recommending and implementing stated objectives. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES: Responsible to assist in the day-to-day operations for the store delivery channel including but not limited to: tendering loads, responding to a high number of emails, running daily reports, tracking and tracing loads, and finalizing store replenishment orders Develop functional expertise in Transportation, Supply Chain Operations by identifying key performance drivers of each area Develop key performance metrics and makes data-driven operational recommendations based on these analyses to meet and exceed GNC's customer service and financial targets Administer GNC's carrier scorecard programs to monitor overall carrier performance against goals and expectations Build and maintain partnerships with pool vendors and GNC's carrier base through timely and data-driven feedback to improve cost and service performance Support and coordinate with RFPs and carrier bids to improve GNC's transportation network costs and service Responsible for project management and oversight of initiatives to generate cost savings, cost avoidance and/or service improvements to GNC's transportation network Assist in the analysis of cost estimates, forecasts, cost models and budgets for the store delivery channel Assist in the completion of pool claims and or store discrepancies Flexible to work weekends and holidays when necessary All other duties as assigned QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain, Logistics or related field; or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the key accountabilities of the job required 2-3 years in supply chain, transportation, or logistics experience preferred Experience and knowledge of Descartes/Bearware (RDS), Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and Transportation Management Systems (TMS) Self-motivated with critical attention to detail, deadlines and reporting Ability to demonstrate fluency in logistics analysis (KPI, Metric Reporting) Basic knowledge of DOT regulations required, working knowledge preferred. High degree of proficiency MS Office Suite, Tableau, SQL, & Internet applications Strong analytical, prioritizing, interpersonal, problem-solving, presentation, budgeting, project management (from conception to completion), & planning skills Strong verbal and written communication skills (including analysis, interpretation, & reasoning) Solid understanding and application of mathematical concepts Ability to develop and maintain collaborative relationships with peers and colleagues across the organization, as well as, internal and external clients Ability to work well autonomously and within a team in a fast-paced and deadline-oriented environment.
