Position Description: Endoscopy Tech II:
Responsible for cleaning and routine care and maintenance of scopes and equipment used in Endoscopy Unit. Facilitate quality patient care and assist professional and/or nursing staff in performing nursing procedures
Responsible for cleaning and routine care and maintenance of scopes and equipment used in Endoscopy Unit. Facilitate quality patient care and assist professional and/or nursing staff in performing nursing procedures. Cleans and disinfects equipment, instruments and supplies. Inspects instruments for proper cleaning, disinfection and functioning. Performs testing and maintains disinfection logs. Demonstrates competence in knowledge and use of the Medivator, scope buddy, and all other cleaning and disinfecting equipment. Demonstrates knowledge and safe practice involving care of the Endoscopy patient, and operation, handling, cleaning, and disinfecting of the Endoscopy equipment. Assists with answering phones, taking messages, transferring calls.

High school diploma or GED.
Current Certified Registered Central Service Technician through IAHCSMM or Certified Endoscope Reprocessor certification required
American Red Cross or American Heart Association Basic Life Support Course (BLS or BCLS) and Certification or within 30 days of hire.
Prefer experience in sterile processing, materials mgmt. or nursing with sterile processing techniques.
