. The Database Analyst analyzes data to produce meaningful information to assist in decision making and improving workflows. Acts as a liaison between the Legal, Purchasing, and Finance departments and contract requestors to ensure a seamless contracting process workflow. The database analyst will also trouble-shoot issues and problems relating to the contract management system, and provide system training, as needed. The candidate must have an attention to detail when compiling daily, weekly, monthly, and ad hoc reports for leadership.
Â Assist with implementation and roll-out of Network wide contract management software. Â Responsible for monitoring and analyzing data to ensure contract progression is being processed accurately. Â Interfaces with internal and external resources to ensure successful contract processing in accordance with WMC Health Network's standards. Â Tests and troubleshoots proposed process changes to assure data and process flow quality prior to production. Â Acts as system administrator for all online database users. Â Prepares presentations, videos, and user manuals for new user training. Â Prepares daily, weekly, monthly and ad hoc reports for senior leadership. Â Processes changes and adds new workflows in the online database system, as requested by Supervisor or Senior Leadership. Â Monitors the status of all contract requests on a daily basis and reports issues to Supervisor and Senior leadership, as needed. Â Liaison with third party database team to process and schedule system updates and upgrades. Â Receives feedback from users regarding changes to the database and process. Â Process other ad hoc analysis and reporting as requested by Supervisor or Senior Leadership. Â Manages and works independently to resolve multiple requests/issues. Qualifications/Requirements:
2-5 years' experience in a technical support environment including analysis and design of online based information systems. Strong analytical skills and good knowledge of organizational structure and its relation to work and data flow. Advanced experience and use of computer applications such as Excel, Word, and, Outlook. Experience using VLOOKUP and Pivot Tables. Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing. Initiative, resourcefulness, sound judgment are a must.
