TITLE: ADMINISTRATOR OF FINANCE QUALIFICATIONS: * Bachelors degree or equivalent experience in school finance. * A minimum of three years of successful experience in school finances or related finance operations. * Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Board mayfind appropriate and acceptable. REPORTS TO: Chief Financial Officer SUPERVISES: Finance & Payroll JOB GOAL: To assist in administering the business affairs of the district in a manner that provides the best possible educational services with the financial resources available to the District. PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES: 1. Assist in administering, coordinating and managing all the functions of financial services, including budgets, accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, school internal funds, and purchasing. 2. Support the District's virtual program, Digital Academy of Florida, by performing financial analyses related to the FEFP, funding forecasts, and payment processing. 3. Supervise various personnel to ensure efficient and timely performance of duties. 4. Provide accurate information to others, demonstrating specific knowledge of governmental accounting, federal and state laws, and School Board policies. 5. Perform analyses, interpret, and forecast fiscal information to identify and resolve issues affecting accuracy, performance, or other key metrics within the District. 6. Ability to meet competing deadlines under pressure while maintaining accuracy and strong attention to detail. 7. Assist in the preparation of the District's annual budget, Annual Financial Report, and other reports as needed. 8. Maintain a close working relationship with appropriate personnel to ensure information exchange, coordination of efforts, and general support for the decision-making process for the District's financial operations. 9. Provide leadership and oversight for purposeful workflow and reporting among all business operations, including modifying software and recommending computer programs that will provide the district with an integrated, effective reporting system. 10. Provide technical assistance to schools and departments related to their budget and/or internal funds. 11. Prepare reports, trend analyses, statistical data, and other internal documents as needed. 12. Make recommendations on policies, procedures, and creative solutions for continuous improvement on business processes. 13. Assist in the preparation of School Board meeting agenda, or attend Board meetings, as needed. 14. Maintains contact with other school districts in Florida and other states to share and receive information on effective business practices. 15. Performs other tasks and responsibilities as assigned by the immediate supervisor, the Superintendent or the Board. THIS POSITION IS FUNDED BY K12 FLORIDA LLC. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Light Work: Exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally and/or up to 10 pounds of force as frequently as needed to move objects. TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: Twelve months. Salary is based on the board-adopted Administrative Salary Schedule. EVALUATION: Performance will be evaluated annually in accordance with district assessment procedures established by Florida Statute 231.29.
