Senior Front-End Developer
Employment Type: Full-Time
Work in an agile, collaborative environment across software architecture, 10 years experience in up-to-date front-end development skills and interface with back-end API's. Work closely with visual designers to take wireframes from conception to implementation and work closely with back-end developers to ensure implemented UI codes / API's are unit tested and production-code ready. Code user interfaces, including interactions, responsive layouts, and styling. Use and contribute to the W3DS (Design Standards) to produce optimum user experiences. Ensure user interfaces are accessible and enhance the performance of the application.
Your Role and Responsibilities
The front-end development squad lead will work closely with the functional manager, the project development lead, the front-end developers, the back-end development lead and the Iteration Manager to implement the YC UI mocked up by the Design team that supports employees to view / assess their skills, to work with their managers on career conversations/paths, to express interest of new job opportunities, to receive job recommendations with matching skills requirements and to identify the skill/experience gaps of the new job opportunities so that recommendations of learning courses can be delivered. The candidate will be responsible for leading the front-end development squad to implement the user interfaces that is compliant with ITSS, Accessibility standard (CI 162) and design standards. Knowledge in HR talent domain, such as skills, expertise, performance management, career conversation & development is BIG plus.
Position is located in New York or Southbury, CT. Relocation assistance is NOT available for this position. No remote work possible.
Required Technical and Professional Expertise
* Expertise in writing unit tests using Jest or similar.
* Skilled in UI development technologies such as HTML, CSS, JSON and API usage.
* Knowledge of bundler technologies such as webpack or similar.
* Skilled in front end web application architecture.
* Experience in being the technical leader for a team of front end developers.
Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise
* Knowledge in HR talent domain, such as skills, expertise, performance management, career conversation & development is BIG plus.
