IGM Biosciences (Nasdaq: IGMS) is a clinical-stage biotechnology company focused on creating and developing engineered IgM antibodies. IgM antibodies have inherent properties that we believe may enable them to improve upon the efficacy and safety of IgG antibodies in multiple therapeutic applications.We have created a proprietary IgM antibody technology platform that we believe is particularly well suited for developing T cell engagers, receptor cross-linking agonists, and targeted cytokines. Our lead product candidate, IGM-2323, is a bispecific T cell engaging IgM antibody targeting CD20 and CD3, and we have initiated a Phase 1 clinical trial for the treatment of relapsed/refractory B cell Non-Hodgkin's lymphoma (NHL) patients in 2019. Our second product candidate is IGM-8444, an IgM antibody targeting Death Receptor 5 (DR5) for the treatment of patients with solid and hematologic malignancies, for which we have recently initiated a Phase 1 clinical trial. Also in our product pipeline is IGM-7354, a bispecific IgM antibody delivering interleukin-15 (IL-15) cytokines to PD-L1 expressing cells for the treatment of patients with solid and hematologic malignancies.We are seeking a Manager, Advanced Technical Sourcing who will drive the procurement categories and strategy within our Manufacturing organization. In this dynamic role, you will be the point person for procurement categories including commodity of new capital expenditures, consumables and service contracts for our GMP Facility, and companywide VMI program and inventory management. You will be responsible for assisting with sourcing activities by supporting internal stakeholders. You will partner with the Head of Procurement and be responsible for promoting the utilization of procurement methodology through category management and strategic sourcing activities within the category space. You will work with our Process Science and Manufacturing teams to ensure IGM has the supplies and equipment necessary to produce innovative products.In this role, you will develop and execute IGM's long-term sourcing strategy for our GMP Manufacturing facility to support Phase 1 production into sustainable commercialization. This includes market research of supplier capabilities; evaluation, qualification and selection of new suppliers that meet IGM's future product delivery goals; support commercial contract discussions; and work with our Quality and Manufacturing teams to pilot and ramp manufacturing of these new suppliers to deliver novel products. You will collaborate with external benchmarking teams to analyze, explore, and stand up new ODM's and Integrators for the GMP Manufacturing business within IGM. You will lead and participate on large projects. Finally, you will be a key part of a procurement team that drives continuous improvement and ensures operational excellence of IGM's rapid growth. You should have a 'roll up the sleeves' mentality and excellent customer service skills. This role will report directly to our Director of Procurement.Responsibilities:* Conduct Strategic Sourcing throughout the managed categories* Manage day to day procurement function of purchase requests to purchase orders for Manufacturing* Conduct RFX's, Category Strategy, and Spend Analysis* Identify cost savings opportunities and manage cost reduction activities* Create and report category activities on a regular basis* Analyze spend to optimize company performance and efficiency* Lead cross-functional teams in the identification of alternative product/suppliers, facilitate qualification trials, and conduct supplier management to drive continuous improvement* Establish and maintain ethical and professional relationships with internal and external customers* Manage supplier contracts and any modifications within contracts (expiration dates, renewals)* Coordinate projects and conduct project management with local and remote teams as required* Support coordination, based on supplier's delivery conditions, of Purchase Requisition and legal documents for relevant internal stakeholders.* Drive manual PO reduction and implement proactive efficiency* Support the ERP implementation and software implementation within IGM Biosciences.Qualifications:* Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience, with 8+ years of relevant procurement or supply chain management experience, preferably in Biotech or Pharma industries.* Strong customer service skills* Positive builder-mindset, can-do attitude with strong interpersonal and communication skills to work with all levels within the company* Strong technical skills and adept at problem-solving, diagnosis and troubleshooting* Self-starter with the capability to complete tasks & projects with minimal direct supervision* Ability to work under pressure and multi-task in a fast-paced environment* Tech savvy - preferably with experience in Dynamics365 ERP data reporting and KPI generation* Sourcing experience in Pharma/Biotech industry* Public company experience is helpful* Must be able to commute daily to Mountain ViewNice to haves:* Full understanding of the 7 steps of strategic sourcing and S2P Process* Any ISM or APICS certification* Any PMP or Lean Six Sigma Certifications* Any coding of Structured Query Language (SQL) Algorithm experience* Knowledge of advanced mathematical formulas and calculations to analyze complex financial and/or statistical information* A big plus is strategic and technical experience in a corporate settingWe offer a fast-paced, collaborative, team-based and family-like work environment.
