Job Responsibilities The Repair Part Planning in Global Spares Operations is responsible for assuring the availability of repairable / refurbish-able spare parts by pursuing the best trade-off's among service level, inventory, and expense. The current opening is for an ESC Spares Planner whose primary focus is to plan Electro-Static Chucks (ESC's) for a spares replacement purpose. ESC is a critical component used in Etch process chambers, while planning is very complex for a variety of reasons: * ESC tends to have a long lead time * ESC lifetime varies from one part to another, from one customer to another, and from one process to another * Transition (from one part to another part) is common * Spares usage may compete with demand from the system and upgrade business * Spares usage can rapidly increase following system and upgrade business ramps * Spares usage is greatly influenced by the tool utilization level by each customer * Some customers take CSBG's Refurbishment Service offerings where failed/used ESC's are sent back for refurbishment and returned to the original customer fab Other Job Responsibilities * Analyzing historical demand, identifying and adjusting outlier demand, and validating and updating forecast that is primarily recommended by SPM (Service Parts Management software offered by PTC) * Running simulations with varying parameters (e.g. lifetime change, IB growth, etc.) and translating them into forecast * Analyzing and implementing SPM's recommendations on Target Stock Level's (TSL's) at Spares worldwide stocking locations * Understanding part level IB changes driven by system and upgrade business and other factors (e.g. part transition, decommission of tools) and feedforwarding to forecast * Summarizing the dollar impact of forecast and TSL changes, securing management approval as necessary and implementing the changes in the ERP system * Maintaining the forecast model to accurately split the total forecast into brand new units and refurb units factoring in the refurb adaption rate and refurb supply availability * Assessing the shortage risk by projecting inventory balance; and making trade-off analyses and recommendations to mitigate the risk * Determining to put parts on and off from Machine Down Threat Allocation process; determining allocation quantities among multiple demand streams to minimize customer impacts * Identifying and implementing business process improvement opportunities Minimum Qualifications * BA/BS or higher preferably in Information Technology, Business Administration, Finance or Engineering * Experience in Spares / Service Parts Planning * >10 years of experience in MRP-based Materials Planning or Purchasing operation * >5 years of experience in SAP * Mid-level to advanced-level skills in Microsoft Excel Preferred Qualifications * Experience in Rotable Pool Management or Reverse Logistics is a plus * Familiarity with Service Parts planning support software is a plus * Semiconductor capital equipment product knowledge and relevant experience in the semiconductor industry * Experience with Microsoft Access or SQL Server Management Studio is a plus * APICS CPIM or CSCP Our Commitment We believe it is important for every person to feel valued, included, and empowered to achieve their full potential.
