Microsoft Cloud Hardware Infrastructure and Engineering (CHIE) is the engine that powers Microsoft's cloud services. The team is responsible for designing, building and operating our unified global datacenters; managing the cloud hardware strategy, development and execution; and responsible for all of the operations needed to run the physical infrastructure including supply chain, hardware, power, security, and workflow teams. We focus on smart growth with an emphasis on automation, data driven engineering, cost‐effectiveness and environmental sustainability. We deliver the core infrastructure and foundational technologies for Microsoft's over 200 online businesses including Bing, MSN, Office 365, Xbox Live, Skype, OneDrive and the Microsoft Azure platform. As a critical part of the Product Lifecycle Management team within Microsoft's CHIE Organization, this role will support production hardware product changes for the cloud hardware lifecycle. Preferred Qualifications: * Hardware product change management experience * MBA preferred * Lean six sigma experience preferred * Working knowledge of data analytics tools (Power BI, etc.) * PMP certification preferred * Experience with IT Service Management, ITIL, Change Management, Release Management, Product Life Cycle preferred Microsoft is an equal opportunity employer. Benefits/perks listed below may vary depending on the nature of your employment with Microsoft and the country where you work. * Drive and execute hardware and firmware production product changes for the Microsoft cloud * Assess product changes from an engineering and business perspective and work with subject matter experts to align on problems and solutions. * Lead cross functional (engineering and supply chain) change projects to plan, execute and deliver on product changes end to end. * Drive adherence to product changes through key milestones, shiproom and the change implementation forums. * Following continuous improvement mindset, identify ways to operate more efficiently / effectively, raise to management, create solutions (as time allows), apply to the hardware product lifecycle AND share such that others may benefit. * Utilize best known methods across all elements of the product development process; identify process breakdowns and propose and contribute to solutions. * Proven working knowledge of leading technology and best practices with End to End lifecycle applications and business intelligence * Experience working with engineering teams * Proven capabilities to drive positive business results through cross-group collaboration and partnerships * Excellent communicator (written and verbal) with ability to create and deliver executive friendly communications on complex solutions * Ability to interact with diverse technical and non-technical groups spanning all organizational levels * Ability to transform complicated data sets into clear stories that are relevant to the business need * Strong critical thinking, attention to detail and resolution in sometimes ambiguous situations * Must be a self-starter who is proactive in identifying process challenges and proactively driving improvements * Ability to effectively communicate and collaborate across internal organizations to drive the right decisions for Microsoft * Work independently to balance multiple tasks and competing priorities simultaneously * Effectively lead cross-organizational meetings to lead teams to consensus and/or decisions to maintain project schedules
