The OneDrive and SharePoint Organization is looking for a Senior Release Program Manager to organize how we are helping the newest product at the company, Microsoft Viva, succeed. Microsoft Viva is Microsoft's efforts to address the growing needs of employees around the world. We are building a product suite designed to address the fundamental shift in how people work, build their career, and find meaning in their workplace. People want to be excited about their work, be connected to their company culture, understand how to succeed, and feel supported across a spectrum of onboarding, skilling, coaching and mentoring. The OneDrive and SharePoint organization is responsible for building and driving adoption of major components of Microsoft Viva, such as Viva Connections and Viva Topics, and coordinating that work with other teams at the company.
To that end, we are looking for a strong Release/Project Manager to manage projects that will involve multiple product teams coming together to deliver a suite for enterprise customers. This role will provide program oversight, through disciplined and rigorous application of project management processes. This role will be responsible for driving strong planning, monitoring, reporting and communicating rhythms to keep the program's stakeholders aligned, informed and accountable. 4+ years of program/project/release management experience in IT product organizations
Experience managing a portfolio of diverse and cross-functional programs, projects and initiatives
Strong knowledge of SDLC and a track record of working closely with engineering teams
Well versed with popular project management tools and methodologies like Gantt charts, Scrum, VSTS/Azure DevOps, etc.
Strong verbal and written communication skills with technical and business leaders at all levels within large enterprises
Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a multi-cultural environment
PMI® credentials in PMP®, CAPM®/ PgMP®
Experience managing HR, Learning, Human Capital Management or related projects
Innate curiosity and ability to self-start in an ambiguous and rapidly changing startup environment
