Purpose and Performance Goals: The purpose of this job is to perform the duties of Steward in accordance with the company's standards for safe and satisfactory performance.
Job Description: To provide the most professional service available to the guest through good, prompt and courteous service. Essential duties and responsibilities include the following (other duties may be assigned):
Handles and washes all cups, silverware, flatware, pots and pans and cooking utensils. Stores the above listed items in a neat and organized way, always storing them in their assigned areas and using proper storing methods. Empties all garbage cans and the disposal of all cardboard utilized by the culinary staff. Cleans all trashcans and returning them to the proper area of the kitchen. Cleans all dish machines on a weekly basis. Cleans kitchen equipment as required by the Sous Chef. Cleans the back dock and organizes the area. . Completes all plate ups for events and all dish outs. Dispose of broken glassware and dishes in designated containers. Ensures all walls and ceiling are clean at all times. Ensures that all safety stations are properly stocked at all times. Arrives for work on time and in proper uniform. All other duties requested by management team.

Physical Demands: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Candidate must be able to lift/push/pull up to 100lbs and be able to work long hours/split shifts and be able to handle stressful conditions. Frequently required to walk, bend, reach, stretch, squat and stand for long periods of time. Hours: Due to the seasonal nature of the hospitality industry, and the fact that the hotel provides guest services 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, any employee may be required to work rotating shifts, night shifts, and/or overtime. Also, depending on the season, hours may be reduced at any time.
