NP/PA - Hospitalist - Per diem
Employment Type: Full-Time
Provides care for in-patients on the medical-hospitalist service.. Utilizes therapeutic means, laboratory data, and radiographic studies in coordination of care under the clinical supervision of the Medical Director, Hospitalist Service or designee.
ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATION: Graduate of an accredited school, Masters prepared. Massachusetts's license to practice required, either minimum of 1 year as an NP or PA in an out-patient medicine service or an in-patient medicine or sub-acute medicine service. .
EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS: Masters Degree
TRAINING: Department specific training with regard to patient care and completion of SMH orientation program.
LICENSE CERTIFICATION: RN, NP, PA-C, Masters of Science Degree in Adult or Family Nursing, BLS, ACLS Certified
SKILLS: Command of verbal and written English, operation of clinical equipment, demonstrates clinical competence, interpersonal and communication skills. Is able to effectively interact with both adults and children 16 years of age or greater, and is able to interact with patients with cultural diversity as well as ADA disabilities.
AGE SPECIFIC CRITERIA: Effectively cares for patients 16 years of age or older.
ABILITY TO MAINTAIN ASSIGNED WORK HOURS: Must have the ability to perform essential functions of the position without posing a direct threat to the health and safety of themselves or other individuals in the work place, with or without a reasonable accommodation.
