Dedication to every employee and client's success; Innovation that matters - for our company and for the world; Trust and personal responsibility in all relationships - Teledyne Relays is EveryWhereYouLook!Position Summary and Responsibilities* Responsible for the development and implementation of relay component and relay assembly operations in the production areas to meet production goals, quality and cost objectives.* Record retention management for manufacturing.* Provides offshore requisition support for Mexico/ India and maintains logs of shipment data.* Runs and logs monthly solder sample analysis to ensure compliance with Teledyne standards.* Prioritizes production schedules based on product introduction, equipment efficiency and materials supply - runs daily relays status reports for both Mexico and Hawthorne sites.* Plans and administers procedures and budgets. Makes budgetary recommendations on capital expenditures and direct/indirect labor.* Makes decisions to hire/terminate/ train personnel to ensure the efficient operation of the production function;* Set-up and maintain files for departmental purchases for all direct reports - conduct negotiations to purchase items (as needed), approves times out/ off, oversees technician operations* Provides guidance to subordinates to achieve goals in accordance with established policies - maintains department matrices* Develops schedules and manpower requirements for assigned areas - reviews/revises weekly shipment date and delinquency reports, review/revises milestone and delivery reports with the Sales Dept.* Verify records and logs are up to date and complete to ensure compliance with applicable regulatory agencies and Teledyne standards.* Verifies manufacturing and test equipment is running, calibrated and have been stamped off by Metrology for production use.Qualifications* To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions* Bachelor's degree (B.A.) from four-year college or university in Engineering and 10 years of directly related experience in assembly/manufacturing and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.* Experience and training in Lean Manufacturing Principals* Basic Knowledge of ISO and/or AS9100* Able to multi-task with multiple concurrent projects is required as well as supply chain management* Able to manage and work with people from diverse backgrounds, ethnicities and cultures is important* Able to resolve internal issues and conflicting priorities for lines is crucial* Candidate should have analytical skills and problem solving skills* To perform this job successfully, an individual should have a general knowledge of Microsoft Office and ERP/MRP Software and GANT Charts* Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
