Thales has an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Lead Configuration Management Analyst in Austin, TX or remotely. As a member of the Operations Engineering, Configuration Management team, the Configuration Analyst will be instrumental in managing all aspects of product lifecycles of (CPL) from birth to end of life. The primary objective is to work across multiple cross-functional teams to ensure accuracy of product data. The data created and managed by the Configuration Analyst, is used by the whole company, to design product, build product, create customer orders, fulfill product shipments, ensure adherence to trade compliance and regulatory requirements and for financial codes. Key Responsibilities: * Responsible for the day-to-day documentation control and change management processes. * Applying change control procedures throughout all stages of product development via the Engineering Change release process (ECO, MCO, and Deviation) through the interface and into the Oracle ERP system. * Responsible for maintenance of all technical product documentation within the Thales configuration management (CM) system called MyPDM. * Performs all facets of configuration management including product structuring, tem creation, Item Attributes, AVL, Drawings, BOMs, SW, FW, Artwork, Customer facing documents, Internal Test reports, External reports, etc., within the MyPDM system. * Track revisions and update product configurations through various maturity levels for the CPL product portfolio. * Auditing data between multiple systems is an important aspect of this position. * Ensure synchronicity of product data from the PLM system to Oracle ERP. * Participate in various system projects such as Integrations, Migrations and Interface projects, which will require the creation of Business requirements and the testing of solutions for verification to ensure alignment with Business requirements. * Support production via way of troubleshooting issues within and between the PDM and ERP systems to ensure that customer orders and fulfillment can flow unimpeded by item setup issues. * Supporting several functional groups within Thales CPL. * Interface with various functional teams to provide ongoing support; Customer Service, Client Service, Engineering, PLM, Fulfillment, SW and HW teams, Operations Engineering and Contract Manufacturers. Required Skills & Experience: * 5 to 7 years of office experience in a Configuration Management environment or technical field such as engineering or IT. * 5 to 7 years of experience using with PLM/PDM and ERP systems. * Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or IT or another relevant field of study. * Ability to manage the stress that arises from performing many tasks in parallel and from dealing with demanding development schedules. * Understand and be able to adapt to the lively dynamics of a fast-paced environment. * Must have good grasp on basics of CM practices and be proficient in the understanding and application of Change Management. * Ability to troubleshoot issues between various systems to ensure data harmonization. * Ability to work independently with minimal supervision of manager. * Must have excellent computer skills including Microsoft Office e.g. Excel, Word, Access, etc. * Prior working experience with MyPDM, Oracle GERP, Microsoft Office, Visio and Adobe Acrobat, Excel, Word, etc. software. * Ability to write quality/technical procedures. * Excellent organization skills with the ability to multi-task. * Good interpersonal communication skills and be capable of working effectively with cross-functional teams across the globe. * Ability to carry out written and verbal instructions. * Must have strong written and verbal communication skills. * Team player; expected to be approachable and cooperative in nature. * Ability and flexibility to work across multiple time zones for a global organization. * Infrequent travel. Preferred Skills and Experience: * Experience with Windchill PDM system. * Experience with Oracle Item Master and BOM module.
