Job Description Salary: $56-61,000 The Senior Graphic Artist will create high-level designs and provide graphic services for materials developed in the Advertising Department, including season brochures, direct mail, collateral, institutional publications, digital advertising, email graphics, social graphics, and other materials as required by the Kennedy Center. Duties and Responsibilities 80% Creating high-level designs on computer for season brochures, direct mail, digital advertising, special events invitations, and other materials while ensuring Brand compatibility. 5% Attending design strategy meetings, meeting with internal clients when necessary 5% Specifying printing instructions, reviewing bluelines and other printer's proofs. 5% Attending weekly production meetings and keeping project statuses up-to-date in Robohead. 5% Assisting Graphic Artist when necessary. N/A Completing work according to deadlines and priorities set by the Assistant Manager, Advertising Design, the Advertising Services Manager, and the Assistant Manager, Advertising Production. N/A Responds to the needs and requests of Kennedy Center management and staff in a professional and expedient manner; Adheres to all employer policies and procedures. N/A Other duties as assigned. Key Qualifications * The Senior Graphic Artist must have a Bachelor's degree or equivalent education in graphic/commercial art and must have at least 3 years related professional experience. Skills & Knowledge Qualifications * Must have proficiency in desktop publishing software (Adobe Creative Suite--PhotoShop, Illustrator, InDesign) in a PC environment. * Must provide a portfolio that demonstrates ability and experience. * Must have proficiency in layout and design and computer-generated artwork production and have working knowledge of four-color printing process. * Must have should be able to handle multiple assignments under the pressure of tight deadlines; be detail-oriented and organized; able to follow creative direction; and conscientious about following purchasing and routing procedures and taking instructions for edits and changes.
