Specifications are not intended to reflect all duties performed within the job.SUMMARYThe Senior Systems Engineer II shall have experience in the area of U.S. Navy Combat Systems in support of Land Based Test and Training Sites. Recent experience specific to AEGIS Weapons System/Combat System (AWS/ACS) is required for this position. The position is not covered under the Service Contract Act (SCA) Davis Bacon Act (DBA), or union.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following.Other duties may be assigned.Combat Systems Planning Design, Test and InstallationEngineering and technical support services for facility and equipment design activitiesReading installation drawings, cable block diagrams and configuration drawingsSystem Network Planning and DesignRequirements and specifications development for hardware installation at Land Based Test and Training SitesNavy Tactical and Simulation hardware procurement supportPresentation developmentMaintain hardware configuration trackingStrong MS Office skillsREQUIREMENTS/QUALIFICATIONS Education and ExperienceEngineering Degree (Electrical Engineer preferred)Ten years of experienceAWS/ACS experienceExperience in or knowledge of AEGIS Land Based Test and Training Site infrastructure and missions preferredMust have the ability to obtain and maintain a DOD security clearanceKnowledge, Skills and Abilities:The Senior Systems Engineer II shall have USN training and 10 or more years related experience.
