Diversity & Inclusion Department Art and Music History Job Purpose
To staff a variety of courses each semester in the field of studio art. Part Time faculty may instruct one or more courses or labs each semester on an 'as needed' basis.
Essential Duties
Part-time faculty are expected to teach a specified course(s); prepare course materials; provide support and guidance to students; and report grades.
Additional Skills Required
Ability to teach art in at least three media (e.g., painting, drawing, color and design)
Minimum Education Requirements
An ABD Master of Fine Arts Degree in Studio Art is required.
Preferred Education
A Master of Fine Arts Degree in Studio Art is preferred.
Minimum Job Experience Requirements
At least two years previous teaching experience and a willingness to be flexible in cases of unanticipated course scheduling needs and changes.
Preferred Qualifications
Evidence of well-rounded teaching experience in studio art is preferred.
