Verbal Beginnings Center ABA Therapist/Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) Full-time positions available in our center in Columbia, MD. Monday thru Friday. Shifts are 7:30am-4:00pm and 8:30am - 5:00pm and must be available to work either shift. As a leading ABA therapy provider, Verbal Beginnings offers a fun and rewarding atmosphere for our staff. The VBC ABA Therapist provides ABA therapy to clients at the Verbal Beginnings Center in Columbia, MD. This is a salaried position that entails 40 hours of work per week at the Center. Each Therapist is assigned to a team. Each team is responsible for providing clinical services to a set group of clients and is supervised administratively by a Team Coordinator and clinically by a BCBA. Most working hours involve hands-on ABA therapy with clients diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder or other developmental disabilities, between the ages of 2 and 6 in 1:1 and group settings. Additional responsibilities involve organizational tasks around the center, attendance at team meetings and participation in training workshops. Responsibilities of the Center ABA Therapist/Registered Behavior Technician (RBT): * Work with a strong sense of teamwork and desire to co-create a supportive atmosphere for therapy. * Provide 1:1 and group ABA therapy to clients diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). * Implement individualized treatment plans developed by BCBAs. * Work with Lead Therapists, Team Coordinators, and BCBAs on your team to ensure treatment integrity and provide regular written and verbal updates on treatment progress. * Participate in team meetings and training workshops * Maintain a high level of professionalism including appropriate clothing, timeliness, and communication. Qualifications of the Center ABA Therapist/Registered Behavior Technician (RBT): * It is expected that the ABA Therapist have and maintain a certification as a RBT. * ABA Therapists who start without certification are expected to obtain the certification within 60 days of starting work at the center. * Bachelor's Degree in Psychology or a related field such as Education or Speech Therapy preferred. * Can also be working on a Bachelor's degree, as long as you are able to work a full-time schedule. * Experience working with children with autism or other developmental disabilities. * Experience working with children with behavior problems preferred. * Excellent communication skills. * BLS/CPR Certification including pediatric BLS/CPR is required. If you don't have BLS/CPR, must obtain it within 30 days of hire. * Commitment to growth and development in the ABA field.
