Job Summary Whitman-Walker Health will host a Social Media/Mobile Outreach Fellow on a part-time basis for 6 month to 1 year term. The Social Media/Mobile Outreach Fellow will be responsible for posting WWH dictated correspondence across social media platforms in an effort to reach community. The fellow is responsible to foster community engagement by responding to comments on social media posts and engaging with those individuals appropriately. They are responsible to provide accurate information that aligns with WWH's brand and mission about HIV prevention services. They will work in conjunction with the Social Media Outreach Coordinator to schedule workshops, find co-facilitators, and ensure that the content of the events is accurate and effective at reaching priority populations. Role Specific-Primary Essential Duties: * Responsible for posting a minimum of 3 posts weekly across all social media platforms according to the standards as outlined by the Sr. Manager of Community Health and The Social Media Outreach Coordinator. * Responsible for online engagement with followers across all social media platforms according to the standards as outlined by the Sr. Manager of Community Health and The Social Media Outreach Coordinator. * Must Promote and Repost WWH events and content both through their personal networks and on their social media platforms. * Fulfill the in person and virtual event quota by recruiting a minimum of 3-5 people to workshops. * Upon training completion, co-facilitate one (1) in-person event about HIV prevention per month and assist in the attendance of events. * Maintains comprehensive social media profile lists that support engagement with WWH content. * Must host a minimum of one Instagram or Facebook live per week related to Health disparities, Access to care, HIV prevention/treatment, Covid-19, Substance abuse, U=U, PEP, PrEP and Women's Health. * Influencers must have content/scripts turned into Sr. Manager of Community Health and Social Media Coordinator for approval 48hrs. prior to in person and virtual workshops. * Influencers will attend community outreach events as needed. * Must log all influencer activities using the Community Health Attendance structure. * Assists and develop visuals for WWH collateral materials on all social media platforms. * Must be familiar with and be willing to learn new features of Instagram, Facebook, Tik-Toc, and YouTube. * Other duties as assigned. Education and Experience Required: * High School Diploma/GED or combination of 4 years of volunteer and or work experience within community required. * Have a social medical presence with a minimum of 1500 followers total across all social media platforms preferred. Working Conditions: Working conditions for this position are normal for an office environment. Individual may be required to work evenings and / or weekends and organization events. Physical Demands: * Lifting: No more than 20 lbs. and infrequently. * Movement: Standing and sitting for long periods. * Visual: Long periods on computer. * Concentration: Extended periods of engagement with computer systems where concentration is key to accuracy in data entry. Intermittent periods of engagement with a telephone system to respond to inquiries where concentration is key to task performance. * Communication: Direct and indirect communication. Written and verbal competency.
